Court finds 13 vocational students guilty of teen’s murder in Lahad Datu; sentencing set for August 28

TAWAU, Aug 22 — Thirteen Lahad Datu Vocational College students were found guilty by the Tawau High Court of murdering 17-year-old Nazmie Aizzat Mohd Narul Azwan.

Judge Datuk Duncan Sikodol ruled that the prosecution had proven the case beyond reasonable doubt under Section 302 of the Penal Code, read with Section 34.

Sentencing will be delivered on August 28, 2025, pending social reports on all 13 convicts from the Lahad Datu Social Welfare Department. — Daily Express
