
A couple were killed and their six-month-old baby injured after a three-vehicle pile-up involving their Perodua Myvi on the Sungai Rengit-Kota Tinggi road in Johor this afternoon.
Kota Tinggi police chief Yusof Othman said the 24-year-old husband, who was driving, and his 28-year-old wife died at the scene from severe head injuries.
“The baby girl, who was in a child seat, was injured in the head and is receiving treatment at Kota Tinggi Hospital,” Bernama reported him as saying today.
Yusof said the accident happened at about 1.30pm when the driver lost control of the car and entered the opposite lane, colliding with an unladen lorry, and later with a Toyota Vios.
The 47-year-old lorry driver was only lightly injured, while the 46-year-old driver of the Vios was uninjured.
