Police are tracking down two suspects after two men were attacked with a parang and an iron rod outside a nightspot in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, early this morning.
Brickfields police chief Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood urged the suspects to surrender themselves to the nearest police station.
He said police have identified the two suspects as well as their victims, aged 33 and 47.
Ku Mashariman said the district police headquarters received a call through the MERS 999 hotline at about 2.15am, informing them of a fight in front of the nightclub on Jalan Tun Sambanthan.
“A witness told police they saw the first victim arguing with one of the suspects in the middle of the road before the second suspect attacked the victims with a parang and an iron rod.
“Both victims, who sustained injuries, were taken to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for treatment,” he said in a statement.
Police also seized several items believed to be connected to the case.
A video of the incident showed a man hitting another with an iron rod, and a third man running with a machete towards the scene of the altercation.
