PETALING JAYA:
Police have arrested two men aged 37 and 43 over separate postings they made on X which stirred controversy online.
Bukit Aman criminal investigation department director M Kumar said the first case involved X user @chongkahtze, who remarked that Malaysia would be taken over by extremists and there would be a revolution in the country.
The second case involved user @ifactoreal who posted in July: “Maybe Israel should attack Anwar‘s residence too.” This was in response to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim criticising the Israeli airstrikes on Damascus, Syria.
Kumar said both men were arrested yesterday. The suspect in the first case is under remand until tomorrow while the other suspect has been remanded until Aug 28.
