PUTRAJAYA: Comedian Shahmira Muhamad, better known as Shuib, was fined RM10,000 by the magistrate’s court today for promoting a vape product on a YouTube podcast two years ago.
Magistrate Ezrene Zakariah also ordered the 42-year-old to serve one year in jail if he fails to pay the fine.
The sentence was handed down after Shahmira pleaded guilty to an amended charge under Section 9(3) of the Control of Smoking Products for Public Health 2024.
