SHAH ALAM: A private college student died yesterday after he fell 21 metres from the Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH) following a crash.
The 10.40am accident saw the 19-year-old victim being flung off the highway and onto a grassy area on Persiaran Pulau Angsa.
Shah Alam police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the student died at the scene due to severe head injuries.
Mohd Iqbal said the victim was riding his motorcycle on the 1/B 0.5 exit ramp of the DASH highway, coming from Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari.
He is believed to have lost control on a bend, crashed, and hit a divider.
The police chief urged witnesses to contact the investigating officer, Inspector Nur Iqmal Maisarah Azman, at 017-2836851 to help with the investigation.
This is the third fatal accident on the DASH this year.
On July 26, a 23-year-old man was killed after his motorcycle skidded and plunged off the highway.
On Feb 26, a woman was killed after being thrown off the highway when she lost control of her motorcycle on a bend before hitting a car.
