VIENNA, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) — The China-Austria Su Tong Eco-Park held a celebration in Vienna, marking a decade of cooperation between Chinese and Austrian enterprises in sci-tech innovation, green industries, and sustainable development.
Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Austria Meng Fanzhuang, Austrian State Secretary Alexander Proell, and more than 80 representatives of both governments, industry organizations, and enterprises attended the event hosted by the Eco-Park on Thursday.
In his speech, Meng described the Eco-Park as a landmark project of practical cooperation in the economic and trade fields between China and Austria. He expressed hope that more Austrian and European enterprises would seize the opportunities brought by Chinese modernization and contribute to green transformation and the global response to climate change.
Several Austrian representatives commended the Eco-Park’s achievement over the past 10 years and expressed their willingness to deepen bilateral cooperation in fields such as green technology and intelligent manufacturing.
According to the organizer, the Eco-Park has attracted over 100 foreign-funded enterprises engaged in high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, biotechnology, and energy conservation and environmental protection. The park has also established long-term partnerships with many universities and research institutions in Austria to promote technology application and talent cultivation.
During an entrepreneurship-related contest held on the same day, eight technology innovation enterprises from Austria, Switzerland, and Germany gave roadshows on green energy, intelligent manufacturing and biotechnology, further promoting exchanges and innovation cooperation between China and Austria.
