JOHOR BARU: Police have called up seven individuals to help with the investigation of two bullying cases involving a 10-year-old boy.
Johor police chief Comm Ab Rahaman Arsad said their statements were recorded as part of the probe.
“We have taken statements from the medical official treating the victim, his family members, and witnesses.
“We are waiting for the full medical report to determine his injuries and if they were the result of bullying,” he told the media after visiting the boy at a hospital here on Tuesday (Aug 19).

He added that more people could be called in, depending on the findings of the medical report.
“The victim is still in the ward and being monitored by doctors, and the hospital cannot issue the full report until his treatment is completed.
“We advise any victims of bullying to come forward and lodge a police report.
“We will carry out a thorough investigation,” he added.
The victim, who is also battling nasal cancer, was allegedly bullied by his senior at a religious school here in February.
He was then reportedly bullied by a schoolmate at a primary school in Skudai here on Aug 7, causing him to suffer a concussion and be hospitalised.
