KUALA LUMPUR: Runaway British teenager David Renz Balisong has been handed over to his mother and will be repatriated to the UK as his visa expires today.

City police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the teenager was taken to Cyberjaya Hospital for further checks and was confirmed to have suffered no trauma or injuries after being found yesterday.

“The victim has been safely handed over to his mother and will be repatriated to Britain as his visitor visa expired on Sept 5.

“The case has now been referred to the Criminal Investigation Division at KLIA for further action,” he said in a statement.
