PORT DICKSON: The body of a fully clothed man was discovered floating near a hotel at Pantai Batu 4 here last Friday (Nov 7).

Port Dickson OCPD Supt Maslan Udin said police received information about the discovery at about 7.55pm.

He said preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was about 164cm tall, weighed around 64kg, had short grey hair, fair skin and was wearing dentures.

“The man was found fully clothed in a black T-shirt with vertical stripes and horizontally striped sleeves, along with green shorts. No identification documents were found on him,” he said in a statement Wednesday (Nov 12).

Supt Maslan added that a physical examination of the body did not reveal any signs of injury or criminal elements.

He said the body was sent to Port Dickson Hospital for a post-mortem on Monday (Nov 10), and fingerprint analysis was conducted to identify the next of kin, but the attempt was unsuccessful.

Supt Maslan said the case has been classified as a sudden death, and further investigations are ongoing.

The police are currently trying to locate the next of kin of the deceased.
