BN candidate intensifies Lamag by-election campaign in final days

candidate Mohd Ismail Ayob ramps up Lamag by-election efforts in final three days, visiting all polling centres again to secure voter support

KINABATANGAN: Barisan Nasional candidate Mohd Ismail Ayob plans to intensify his campaign in the final three days before the Lamag state by-election this Saturday.

Better known as Miha, he said his team’s momentum is at its peak but they will remain proactive and avoid complacency.

“We’ve already visited all polling district centres in Lamag, and we will be going on a second round to meet voters again,” he said today.

He expressed confidence in ‘s chances of winning both the Lamag state and Kinabatangan parliamentary seats.

This confidence is based on positive feedback received from voters during surveys and centre visits.

Mohd Ismail spoke after observing the early voting process at the Kinabatangan district police headquarters.

A total of 196 police personnel were involved, with 189 voting in person and seven by postal ballot.

The Kinabatangan parliamentary by-election is a three-cornered fight.

The candidates are Mohd Kurniawan Naim Moktar (), Datuk Saddi Abdul Rahman (Warisan) and Goldam Hamid (Independent).

The Lamag state seat is a straight fight between Mohd Ismail and Mazliwati Abdul Malek of Warisan.

Both by-elections were called following the death of incumbent Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin on Dec 5 last year.
