KUALA LUMPUR: A Bersatu leader has told Pas to lead the coalition to be a stronger opposition, saying the Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairmanship is likely to go the party following Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s resignation.
“Now the much-desired PN chairmanship could potentially belong to Pas and its president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang,” said Bersatu information chief Datuk Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz.
“We hope that with this chairmanship, Pas and the Pas president can manage PN well and make us into a stronger opposition.
“If it happens (Pas’ chairmanship of PN), accept this duty responsibly, do not subcontract the PN chairmanship to leaders from other parties,” he said.
