KOTA KINABALU, Nov 9 (Bernama) — All 10 PKR candidates chosen to contest in the Sabah 17th state election have signed loyalty pledges, PKR secretary-general Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh.
She said that the pledges are backed by RM10 million bonds, should the candidates, who are from various backgrounds, including deputy ministers, civil servants and professionals, betray the party.
“May the candidates have 100 per cent commitment to the party, voters and constituencies they represent to fulfill the duties entrusted to them till they succeed in forming a new state government,” she said in a statement here tonight.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, in his capacity of Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman and PKR president, had earlier introduced the 10 candidates in an event here tonight.
Anwar also informed that PH would contest 23 out of 73 state seats in the Sabah election under the PH logo.
