Arab League To Hold Extraordinary Session Addressing Israeli Crimes In Gaza

CAIRO, Aug 10 (Bernama-SPA) — The Arab League Council will hold an extraordinary session on Sunday at the level of permanent representatives, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The session, under the chairmanship of Jordan, will discuss ways to address Israeli occupation crimes in the Gaza Strip and review mechanisms at the Arab and international levels to address these crimes, prevent their continuation, and prosecute their perpetrators before international justice mechanisms.

In a press statement, Ambassador Muhannad Al-Aklouk, Representative of the State of Palestine to the Arab League, said that the Arab League Council will meet at the request of the State of Palestine and with the support of member states, in light of Israel’s decision to reoccupy and take full control of the Gaza Strip, which will result in the forced displacement of the Palestinian people inside and outside the Gaza Strip.

He added that the council will discuss ways to put an end to the humanitarian catastrophe that is ravaging the lives of Palestinians in Gaza.
