KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today held a meeting with innovation economist Professor Dr Mariana Mazzucato, who is also the founding director of the Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose from the University College London (UCL).
Anwar posted on Facebook that the meeting, among others, discussed the importance of a mission-oriented strategy that encourages public-private collaboration to drive green investment, technological innovation and digital transformation.
“Also discussed was the need to empower a modern and agile public service as the backbone of the country’s progress.
“Professor Mazzucato also shared her views that Malaysia needs to address systemic challenges, strengthen its digital strategy, foster innovation and build future-ready skills for the success of the country’s long-term transformation,” he said.
