KUALA LUMPUR: United States President Donald Trump and Chinese Premier Li Qiang will visit Malaysia next month for the 47th Asean Summit.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said Russian President Vladimir Putin is “seriously considering” attending the meeting.
“We are fortunate. Despite the tariff issue, President Donald Trump called and informed me that he will visit Malaysia next month to coincide with the Asean meeting. Premier Li Qiang will also be attending.
“President Putin met me in Beijing and said he is seriously considering coming to Malaysia.
“I said, okay, we have Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, and Li Qiang, so they will notice that Kuala Lumpur has a complete lockdown,” he said in his speech at the Ambank Group 50th anniversary dinner.
Also present was Ambank Group Holdings Bhd chairman and board member Tan Sri Azman Hashim.
