BANGI: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will suggest to the Selangor state government to cancel the pig farming project in Bukit Tagar.
Speaking to reporters, he said they should consider a better location, provided that the technology is the best.
“In the cabinet meeting, we discussed the controversy surrounding the new pig farming area in Bukit Tagar.
“We believe that the environmental concerns and the anxiety of the people from various races in the surrounding areas should be given attention.
“I will discuss with the Menteri Besar of Selangor, Datuk Seri Amiruddin Shari, to seek his opinion and, if possible, cancel the project for now,” he said after attending Friday prayers in Surau Seksyen 8, Bangi, today.
