According to Malay Mail, the highways and expressways affected by the toll-rate freeze announced, as identified by the Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, includes:
• South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE)
• Cheras-Kajang Highway (Grand Saga)
• KL-Putrajaya Expressway (MEX)
• KL-Kuala Selangor Highway (LATAR)
• Butterworth Outer Ring Expressway (LLB)
• Senai-Desaru Expressway (SDE)
• East Coast Expressway 2 (LPT2)
• Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge (JSAHMS)
• Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE)
• New North Klang Straits Bypass (NNKSB)
This toll hike freeze is expected to benefit around 941,000 users, particularly daily commuters travelling between home and work. Additionally, the Prime Minister confirmed that the government will provide over RM500 million as compensation to the affected companies through the Ministry of Finance, to ensure uninterrupted operations and maintenance of the highways.
