KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today extended contributions to two Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) veterans in Kuantan, Pahang.
The cash assistance and food baskets were delivered by his political secretary, Datuk Ahmad Farhan Fauzi, to Abu Samah Simat of Taman Balok Perdana and Sulaiman Yusoh of Taman Balok Makmur during home visits.
Ahmad Farhan said the aid was not only to ease their burden but also to reaffirm that the sacrifices of veterans are never forgotten.
“May Allah SWT grant recovery and strength to Encik Abu Samah and his family. His sacrifices in safeguarding the nation’s security will always be remembered.
“May Allah SWT bless Pakcik Sulaiman with health and resilience, and may his service and sacrifices be regarded as lasting charitable deeds,” he wrote in two Facebook posts, which were also shared by the prime minister.
Ahmad Farhan, accompanied by the Indera Mahkota MAF Veterans Association, took part in the Ziarah Madani programme, visiting Abu Samah, who is recovering from a stroke, and Sulaiman, who suffers from chronic heart disease.
