KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has expressed his condolences following the passing of Halimah Yaacob, mother of former Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa.
In a Facebook post, the prime minister, together with his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, conveyed their sympathies to Dr Zaliha.
“In profound sorrow, Azizah and I received the news of the passing of Allahyarhamah Halimah Yaacob, mother of Dr Zaliha Mustafa,” the prime minister said.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences and pray that Allah blesses her soul, forgives her sins, accepts her good deeds, and places her among the righteous and faithful,” he added.
The prime minister also prayed for strength and patience for Dr Zaliha and her family, wishing them comfort and serenity in this difficult time.
