CYBERJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has assured the public that he is in good health.
“I am good. Look at me,” he said briefly when asked about his condition before hopping once and leaving the venue.
He was attending the launch of the Malaysia Semiconductor IC Design Park 2 programme at CoPlace 9 here.
Also present were Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari and Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Aiman Athirah Sabu.
On Sunday, Anwar had cancelled his scheduled working visit to Pahang due to back pain.
In a statement, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said the last-minute cancellation followed advice from Anwar‘s medical team after he experienced back pain that restricted his movements.
“On the doctor’s advice, the Prime Minister has been instructed to get sufficient rest. He sincerely apologises, especially to the people of Pahang who had prepared to welcome him,” the statement read.
