GYEONGJU: Malaysia has called on the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) to serve as an economic bridge by widening regional cooperation.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said this could include greater involvement of Latin American and African nations.
“Apec should become a bridge not just for the Asia Pacific economy, but also to widen its involvement with Latin America and Africa.
“This would be in line with a world economy that is fairer and more balanced, with both developed and developing countries,” he said.
He was speaking while delivering Malaysia’s statement at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) 2025 Economic Leaders Meeting here today.
