
Another minor earthquake has been reported in Segamat, Johor, in what is the fourth incident so far this week.
The meteorological department said a 2.5-magnitude quake occurred around 7.56pm about 13km north of Segamat at a depth of 10km.
“Tremors were felt in Johor. The department is continuing to monitor the situation,” it said in a post on X.
Two earthquakes were reported in Segamat and Kluang on Sunday. The first earthquake, measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale, struck Segamat at 6.13am. A 2.8-magnitude earthquake was later detected in Kluang at around 9am.
Tremors were felt in several parts of Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Pahang, with some property owners reporting damage.
Yesterday, a 3.2-magnitude earthquake was detected in Segamat, with tremors felt in Johor and southern Pahang.
