KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 9 (Bernama) — AmBank Group will continue to strengthen its strategic partnerships with Chinese banks such as China Construction Bank (CCB), Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) and Bank of China, as well as leading Chinese entities to support the inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Malaysia.
AmBank Group’s chairman emeritus and honorary advisor, Tan Sri Azman Hashim, said that the group’s collaboration with Huawei in bolstering environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and digital transformation initiatives also reflects its shared vision of building a sustainable and innovative future.
“Ambank, together with those banks, are collaborating to assist Chinese investors in establishing business relationships with industrial park developers.
“This will enable the Chinese investors to establish their companies’ operations in Malaysia. Hopefully, this strategy will also contribute to the good economic ties between Malaysia and China,” he said at the AmBank Group’s 50th Anniversary celebration gala dinner.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was also present as the guest of honour.
In honour of its golden jubilee, the event also unveiled AmBank’s refreshed camel mascot, Aman.
The mascot first made its debut with the AmBank contingent during the 68th National Merdeka Parade, displaying the essence of unity, progress and national pride.
