AG: Teen bullying charges won't affect Zara Qairina inquest

KUALA LUMPUR: Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar said the proposed charge against five teenagers accused of bullying Form One student Zara Qairina Mahathir tomorrow will not affect the inquest process.

“If the coroner finds criminal wrongdoing or liability on the part of any individual or suspect, we will have the suspect charged.

“However, we will have to gather sufficient evidence for that purpose first,” he told the New Straits Times today.

Dusuki also said the charge against the teenagers will proceed at the Kota Kinabalu Juvenile Court tomorrow.
