KINABATANGAN: Seven siblings were left orphaned after their parents were killed when the car they were travelling in crashed into a tree at Km 121, Kampung Paris 1, yesterday.
The couple, both aged 34, sustained severe injuries and were pronounced dead at 3.43pm at Hospital Kinabatangan.
The driver of the car, meanwhile, is receiving treatment at the hospital for severe injuries.
“The car reportedly lost control, skidded and hit a tree on the left shoulder of the road,” he was quoted as saying by Berita Harian today.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
