Six Form 4 students have been arrested for allegedly beating a Form 3 student at a school in Pasir Mas, Kelantan, yesterday.
Berita Harian reported the victim’s aunt as saying in a Facebook post that her nephew was slapped and beaten, and had his pants pulled down in the incident said to have taken place at 10am.
She also claimed that they almost strangled him with a wire before a teacher who happened to pass by the area noticed.
“If the teacher had not passed by, my nephew might have died at the hands of a bully,” she said.
She also said the families of the six students had visited her parents’ house, asking them to withdraw the case.
“All the bullies are only in Form 4, but can think and act at this level. What will happen to them when they are 20 years old?” she said.
Pasir Mas police chief Kama Azural Mohamed confirmed the arrests of the six 16-year-olds, saying police had applied for their remand this morning.
He said police would issue a statement on the matter later.
