Police seized 20.7kg of ketamine worth over RM1 million in a raid on a courier service premises in Kepayan, Kota Kinabalu, last week.
Sabah police commissioner Jauteh Dikun said police also seized a Lamborghini Aventador and four other luxury vehicles, computers, and other valuables worth RM3.18 million during last Thursday’s bust.
“We found two sacks containing 20 packets of ketamine during the raid and subsequently arrested a man who was the main suspect.
“Interrogation of the main suspect led to the arrest of three others, including a woman, on Sept 5,” he said in a Bernama report.
He said the seizure came just a week after an earlier success in confiscating over 40kg of methamphetamine.
Jauteh added that police did not rule out the possibility that the syndicate was linked to the Aug 28 drug bust based on its modus operandi of using courier services to transport drugs from Peninsular Malaysia to Sabah.
He said the ketamine was packed together with other items, such as instant noodles and disposable diapers, that were sent using courier service.
All four suspects have been remanded until Sept 11.
The case is being investigated for drug trafficking under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
