
PETALING JAYA:
Five men in their 20s were killed when the MPV they were in crashed into a trailer lorry on Jalan Sulaman Gayang in front of the People’s Volunteer Corps training centre in Tuaran, Sabah, today.
The incident occurred at about 2.10pm and the five were confirmed dead at the scene by health ministry officials.
The Sabah fire and rescue department’s operations centre said the MPV and the lorry were travelling in opposite directions and the MPV was flung to the roadside in the crash, Bernama reported.
Sinar Harian said four of the victims were students at the Kota Kinabalu Mara Skills Institute, identified as Harianto Anuar, Neil Stanly Pletinie, Ikhwan Kurniawan and Zuhaikal Zaidy, all aged 20.
The fifth victim was not immediately identified.
