NEW DELHI, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) — Four people, including two women, died of asphyxiation and one got injured when a fire broke out in an electronics store in West Delhi’s Raja Garden area on Monday, the local fire department said.
As soon as the fire broke out, personnel belonging to local police and the Delhi Fire Services rushed to the spot for firefighting and rescuing people.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Vichitra Veer said, “On reaching there, it was informed by the people that five individuals were trapped inside. After efforts, all of them were taken out and sent to hospitals. Four people have lost their lives in this unfortunate accident, while one is under treatment.”
