A light earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 struck Johor early this morning, sending tremors across a wide area of southern and central Malaysia.
The seismic event occurred at 6.13am local time, with its epicentre located just 5km west of Segamat, according to an official statement posted by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) on its Facebook page.
