PETALING JAYA:

Three police officers have been arrested to assist investigations into an extortion and molest case involving a female student in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur, on Wednesday.

Kuala Lumpur deputy police chief Usuf Jan Mohamad said the three officers were arrested at a restaurant yesterday following a police report lodged by the student, reported Harian Metro.

They have been remanded for four days to assist investigations under Section 384 of the Penal Code for extortion and Section 354 of the Penal Code for assault or the use of criminal force with intent to outrage modesty.

According to a police report which has gone viral, the student and her boyfriend claimed they were stopped by a group of police officers at Jalan Sentul Pasar early on Wednesday morning.

The student alleged she was told to have sex with one of the officers or pay RM10,000. She also alleged that one of the officers pinched her breast.

She subsequently lodged a police report at the Sentul police station.
