2 killed in road crash in central Philippines

MANILA, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) — At least two people were killed and some others injured after a van crashed into a roadside house along a highway in Antique province in central Philippines on Monday, police said.

Police said the van, carrying 12 people, was heading south to their hometown in Sibalom when it crashed into a house in Laua-an town early Monday morning.

“The driver lost control of the vehicle, which, according to witnesses, was at full speed,” a police officer said.

No occupants of the house were injured in the crash.

Police were investigating the crash.
