KOTA TINGGI: Two men were killed and five others injured in a head-on collision involving two cars in Jalan Sedili Besar here today.
District police chief Superintendent Yusof Othman said the drivers of both cars, men aged 71 and 29, were killed on the spot in the 1.15pm crash.
“Preliminary investigations found that the 71-year-old driving a Proton Waja had lost control and veered into the opposite lane before colliding head-on with the other driver” he said in a statement today.
Both drivers died of severe head injuries, while five passengers from both cars who were seriously injured were rushed to the Kota Tinggi Hospital.
