KUALA LUMPUR: The government will expand the minimum wage policy to graduates and semi-skilled workers, including those from technical and vocational education and training (TVET) under Masco Code 8 and above.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said this is part of efforts to align wages.
“A comprehensive wage alignment will be accelerated to ensure a fairer and more equitable share of economic gains for workers.
“This initiative aims to provide salaries that are commensurate with workers’ qualifications and skill levels,” he said in the Dewan Rakyat during the tabling of the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP).
