The Tawau High Court today sentenced 13 male students of Lahad Datu Vocational College to prison for the murder of fellow student Nazmie Aizzat Narul Azwan, 17, last year.
Judge Duncan Sikodol ruled that 12 child offenders be detained in prison at the pleasure of the Sabah governor in accordance with Section 97(2)(b) of the Child Act 2001, while one young offender was sentenced to 30 years’ jail with 12 strokes of the cane.
