KUALA LUMPUR: Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei stretched their winning streak to eight matches since being crowned world champions after outlasting Hong Kong’s Tang Chun Man-Tse Ying Suet 21-12, 12-21, 21-17 to reach the China Masters semi-finals in Shenzhen today.
The world No. 3 duo overcame a spirited fightback from the seasoned world No. 6 pair to match their semi-final finish from last year.
Buoyed by their newfound status, Tang Jie-Ee Wei will be determined to go one better this time as they chase a maiden Super 750 crown.
They will next face either home favourites Feng Yan Zhe-Huang Dong Ping, the world No. 2 duo, or compatriots Guo Xin Wa-Chen Fang Hui.
