KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 18 (Bernama) — MClean Technologies Bhd’s board of directors said it was unaware of the reason behind the sharp rise in the price and volume of the company’s shares.
The stock opened at 47.5 sen today and surged to hit 53 sen, which is its highest in recent months.
The company said in a Bursa Malaysia filing, which contained its response to the exchange’s unusual market activity query, that the board is not aware of any possible explanation to account for the trading activity.
“The board is not aware of any rumour or report concerning the business and affairs of the group that may account for the trading activity.
“This includes any corporate development relating to the group’s business and affairs that has not been previously announced that may account for the trading activity, including those in the stage of negotiation and discussion,” said MClean Technologies.
It said the company and the board are in compliance with the ACE Market listing requirements (AMLR) of Bursa Securities, in particular Rule 9.03 of the AMLR of Bursa Securities on the immediate disclosure obligations.
MClean Technologies is an investment holding company which provides surface treatment, precision cleaning and packaging services for products ranging from hard disk drives and consumer electronics to oil and gas.
