Malaysia’s first Apple Store (and the only one so far) at The Exchange TRX will be opened slightly earlier than usual this Friday, 19 September, which is the launch day for the new iPhone 17. Apple made a similar move during the launch day of iPhone 16 last year.
On normal days, Apple The Exchange TRX would only open its doors at 10:00 AM, which is the general opening hours of the shopping mall. Similar to last year, Apple has marked the store hours for 19 September as “special store hours” on its website and Apple Store app.
Can I still self-pickup iPhone 17 at Apple Store The Exchange TRX tomorrow?
While it is usually much more convenient to receive your new iPhone in the comfort of your home, there are also many out there who prefer to obtain their device directly at the retail store. Furthermore, we are talking about the Apple Store here, which means the vibe would be different, as you can see from last year’s iPhone 16 launch video above.
However, it is already too late to book an In-Store Pickup session at Apple Store The Exchange TRX for 19 September, though. If you tried to purchase any of the iPhone 17 models through Apple Malaysia’s website or Apple Store app right now, you are not able to choose the self-pickup option.
At the same time, Apple appears to have disabled the ability to reserve a Shop with a Specialist session at Apple Store TRX for the time being as well. A staple feature of Apple Stores worldwide, Shop with a Specialist allows customers to have a one-on-one shopping session with an Apple Store’s staff member who will be there to answer any questions they have regarding Apple products.
