KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 18 — Plus will close the Smart Lane from Kulai to Senai, spanning from KM26.5 to KM19.3 southbound, starting Sept 22 for the ongoing Additional Lane Project on the North-South Expressway (NSE).
The closure is part of the Phase 1 Package B of the project, which aims to improve highway infrastructure and accommodate increased traffic flow between Senai Utara and Kulai in Johor.
During the construction period, two existing lanes will remain open to ensure continuous traffic flow and minimise disruption for motorists travelling on the affected stretch of the highway.
Motorists are advised to plan their journeys ahead of time using the PLUS app, which will provide the latest traffic updates and help users navigate around potential delays.
The highway operator also urged drivers to follow all traffic signs and adhere to instructions provided by PLUS personnel in the construction zone to ensure safety for all road users.
For real-time assistance, highway users can contact the PUTRI Virtual Assistant, access traffic updates via X@plustrafik, or call PLUSLine at 1800-88-0000 in case of emergencies.
