NEW DELHI, Sept 18 (Bernama) — Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on Wednesday concluded a defence agreement to deepen their long-standing security cooperation.
The “Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement,” signed by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Riyadh, builds on the historic partnership of nearly eight decades, shared strategic interests and close military cooperation, according to a joint statement.
The pact “reflects the shared commitment of both nations” to enhance their security and “strengthen joint deterrence against any aggression,” the joint statement said.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia also expressed their commitment to regional security and world peace.
