SEREMBAN: Police are investigating the incident where a police vehicle allegedly ran a red light.
The incident is believed to have occurred in Jalan Haruan 2 here about 12.20am on Tuesday.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Hatta Che Din said his department had taken note of a video of the incident circulating on social media.
“Police confirm that an investigation is being carried out. We have identified the circumstances of the incident.
“Once the investigation is complete, internal action will be taken against anyone involved.”
He advised the public not to speculate or spread unverified information that could cause confusion.
“We emphasise that every policeman and personnel is subject to traffic regulations, except in circumstances involving emergency duties that require immediate action for safety and smooth operations.”
He said if the investigation found any breach of procedure, action would be taken in accordance with the law.
