King, Queen extend Malaysia day greetings, pray for lasting peace


KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, and Her Majesty the Queen, Raja Zarith Sofiah, have extended Malaysia Day greetings ahead of the celebration tomorrow.

In a post on Sultan Ibrahim’s official Facebook page, Their Majesties also prayed that Malaysia would always be blessed with lasting peace and be protected from any calamity.

According to the post, Sultan Ibrahim expressed gratitude for the unity and spirit of consensus among the people of various races, which has remained the nation’s strength since the early days.

The Malaysia Day 2025 celebration, themed ‘Malaysia Madani: Rakyat Disantuni,’ will take place at the PICCA@Arena Butterworth Convention Centre tomorrow, featuring a variety of engaging activities beginning at 9am.

This year’s edition is being held in Penang, in line with the practice of rotating the venue between Sabah, Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia each year.
