KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 15 — Five people — two men, two children, and one woman — were injured in an accident involving four cars and two tour buses on Jalan Hang Tuah Off, Jalan Imbi, here last night.
The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre received an emergency call through the MERS999 system at 10.49pm before dispatching fire engines to the scene, according to BuletinTV3.
Operations Commander Che Mohd Solehuddin Che Jusoh said personnel from the Jalan Hang Tuah Fire and Rescue Station, assisted by the Pudu station, were deployed with 13 firefighters and a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) vehicle.
He said that upon arriving at 10.57pm, the team found the accident involved four cars — a Toyota Vios, Nissan Almera, Hyundai Staria and Honda City — as well as two tour buses.
“All victims were successfully rescued and handed over to the Health Ministry for initial treatment before being sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL),” he said in a statement today.
He added that further action has been handed over to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) for investigation.
