Sabah Electricity rolls out 27 mobile generators to bring back power to Sabah’s east coast, prioritising hospitals and water plants

KOTA KINABALU, Sept 15 — Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) has deployed 27 mobile generator sets (gensets) to key locations across the east coast of Sabah to immediately restore electricity supply.

In a statement, SESB said the generators have been positioned in Beluran, Kinabatangan, Sandakan, Semporna, Tawau, Lahad Datu, and Telupid to provide temporary power.

“There are seven gensets each for Beluran and Kinabatangan, four for Sandakan, four for Semporna, one for Telupid, and two each for Tawau and Lahad Datu.

“They have been placed at hospitals, district police headquarters, water treatment plants, and fire stations, to support essential services. Additional gensets will also be installed to meet further supply needs,” the statement read. 

SESB also expressed its appreciation for the patience and understanding shown by consumers throughout the restoration period. — Bernama
