KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 (Bernama) — Young Malaysian rider Qabil Irfan Azlan returned to the top of the podium after winning race one of the ESBK Talent sixth round of the 2025 Spanish Superbike Championship (ESBK) at the Estoril Circuit, Portugal, today.
The Frando Racing VHC Team Liqui Moly rider, who last tasted victory in race one of the fourth round at the Navarra Circuit in Spain last July, put on an excellent ride to leave Aspar KSB Technical Academy’s Enzo Zaragoza of Spain with a 14.176-second lead.
Third place went to Spanish rider Andres Garcia, who races for the IGAXTEAM Snipers team.
The result sees Qabil strengthen his position as the ESBK Talent season leader with 227 points, leaving his main rival from Switzerland, Arnold Alessio, who finished the race in fourth, with a total of 181 points overall.
Meanwhile, another young Malaysian rider, Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli’s desire to make history by winning the 2025 Red Bull Rookies Cup (RBRC) did not materialise when race one of the final round at the Misano Circuit, Italy ended.
His main rival from Spain, Brian Uriarte, not only won the race but was also confirmed as the 2025 RBRC champion with 216 points, even with one more race remaining at the same circuit tomorrow, followed by Hakim (171 points) and Indonesian representative Veda Pratama in third place (135 points).
