KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 — Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Maimunah Mohd Sharif today said City Hall (DBKL) is still waiting for a full report from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over allegations that senior officials had received bribes.

She said DBKL has extended full cooperation to MACC throughout the probe.

“We are still waiting for MACC. I must state that we are giving our full cooperation in the investigation, and up to now I have not received anything, not a report from MACC. We are still waiting for the report,” she told reporters after a dialogue session with residents in the Seputeh parliamentary constituency.

Last Sunday, MACC chief Tan Sri Azam Baki said the investigation had been completed and was now being reviewed by the Attorney-General’s Chambers.

On another matter, Maimunah said every letter sent to DBKLl must be acknowledged and answered.

She stressed that reports addressed to her, department heads, directors or executives could not go unanswered.

She added that DBKL practises a “no wrong door policy”, where action will be taken where possible, while issues under the purview of other ministries or departments are referred accordingly.
