KUALA LUMPUR: MCE Holdings Bhd has partnered with Huizhou Foryou General Electronics Co Ltd (Adayo) to develop, localise, manufacture and market smart-cockpit and smart-driving solutions for automakers in Malaysia and across Asean.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed during China-Malaysia supply chain collaboration programme in Hangzhou, China.
It was co-organised by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority’s (MIDA) Transportation Technology Division and Jetour Automobile Malaysia.
MCE said the partnership strengthens its position in the smart-cockpit domain, a core in-cabin system in next-generation vehicles that covers in-vehicle infotainment, cockpit domain controllers, and connected-vehicle systems.
Under the partnership, MCE will manufacture and supply these products in Malaysia and across Asean.
Adayo will provide technology platforms, product development and technical support, with an initial focus on programmes for automakers in Malaysia and Asean.
Early workstreams include exploring localisation of smart-cockpit and infotainment systems for selected programmes in Malaysia.
MCE group managing director Goh Kar Chun said the collaboration accelerates its efforts to broaden its portfolio of technologically advanced solutions for next-generation vehicles, from research and development to manufacturing at scale.
Founded 1993, Adayo specialises in smart-cockpit and smart-driving solutions for global automakers.
It claims leadership in sound and image processing, navigation and positioning, human–machine interaction, smart voice, connected intelligence and advanced driver assistance.
