KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 12 (Bernama) — Negeri Sembilan FC cruised into the FA Cup quarterfinals on a 5-1 aggregate score despite losing 0-1 to PDRM FC in the second leg of the FA Cup Round of 16 at the Selayang Municipal Council Stadium tonight.
The Negeri Sembilan squad under Mohd Nidzam Jamil were armed with a five-goal advantage before kick off courtesy of their 5-0 first leg win, were however, in for a rude shock when PDRM FC struck as early as the fourth minute of play through Muhammad Fakhrul Azim Mohd Zulphatah.
The start of the second half saw Negeri Sembilan launch a number of dangerous attacks but PDRM goalkeeper Nor Hakeem Hamidun was in his element to keep the strikers at bay.
The score remained intact until the final whistle.
Negeri Sembilan are expected to face Selangor FC or Malaysian University Football Team (MUFT) in the quarterfinal on Oct 17.
