JOHOR BARU: Flash floods at Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) have subsided and the situation has returned to normal.
In a statement, HSA said the affected building was Bangunan Lily, which houses the Psychiatry and Mental Health Specialist Clinic. The hospital said the low-lying building was inundated at about 4pm due to a drainage failure. The situation was brought under control by 4.45pm, and cleaning had been completed.
A video shared on social media showed hospital staff moving equipment and motorcycles out of the flooded building.
State Health and Environment Committee chairman Ling Tian Soon visited the site to inspect the situation. The Johor Civil Defence Force later confirmed that floodwaters at the hospital had fully receded.
